Family Orientation
We are pleased to welcome you to the George Mason University Family. The OFPS Staff is excited to invite you to attend Orientation with your new student! The George Mason University Orientation Program is designed to assist students in a manageable acclimation and easy transition to the university community while also attending to the needs of parents and family members during their transition with their students. Families have a vested interest in their student's success and their transition is important to us. During Orientation, a family program is conducted concurrently with the student program, with the exception of transfer evening sessions. These programs offer family members a wide range of perspectives on life at Mason and serve as a good foundation to building a relationship with the University. Although we do not offer a family program during our transfer evening session, parents and families are still welcome to attend. There is a fee for all family members and guests who attend Orientation with a new student.
