Meet Our Student Leader Team
Throughout the year, the Student Leader Team is responsible for welcoming and assisting new members of the Mason community, including freshmen, transfers and their family members. These students must exhibit leadership qualities both inside and outside the classroom, be full of Mason spirit, passionate about helping people and possess a desire to develop their own leadership potential.
Our Student Leader Team is composed of the following positions:
- Head Team
Head Team Members are second year returning students who act in a peer supervisory role with Patriot Leaders and Office Specialist. Head Team members have proven their leadership abilities by serving the Mason community, encompassing students, faculty/staff, and parent/families, by maintaining the highest levels of professionalism and dependability. - Patriot Leader
The Patriot Leader positions are highly visible in the Mason community and represent the office at Orientation, Family Weekend and other campus programming initiatives. The Patriot Leaders serve as role models to new students by leading multiple small group discussions, assisting in the development of programs associated with our office and answering questions from new students and their family members. - Office Specialist
The Office Specialist positions are focused largely on communication with external audiences and administrative functions of the office. The Office Specialists will provide main reception and office support, perform clerical and administrative duties and assist with the preparation of mass mailings, program confirmation correspondence and reservation processing.
